NAKILIKO MALANG – See Together

The flowing pathways connect sky, land, and water, showing that all systems are linked. Science and technology sit alongside cultural knowledge, not separate from it, but part of a continuous story of observation and understanding.

Circular forms represent gathering, collaboration, and global community. They speak to people coming together across nations, sharing insights, and working collectively to care for our planet.

The layers within the design reflect depth, different ways of seeing, measuring, and interpreting the world. From ground to sky, from past to future, all perspectives are valued.

This artwork brings together ancient knowledge and contemporary innovation, positioning Sydney as a place where these worlds meet, where connection to Country guides forward thinking ideas, and where people gather to shape a shared future.

This artwork tells the story of connection, of looking, learning, and understanding our world from many perspectives.

At its heart, Sydney is represented as the gathering place for the ISPRS Global Conference 2029/2030, sharing vision and knowledge on remote sensing and photogrammetry.

A place where people come together from across the world, bringing knowledge, ideas, and shared purpose. The harbour, the land, and the surrounding waters hold this meeting, grounding it in Country.

From above, the patterns reflect the way we observe and understand the earth, through satellite, through mapping, through careful measurement. These aerial perspectives echo the ancient ways of reading Country, where knowledge has always been held in the land, the sky, and the stories passed down over time.
